Course Overview

This one day workshop is designed as the first in a two part series. It is designed to give students powerful tools to aid them in the transition from High School to independent living.

Day one of the series provides an immersive experience to help students:

  1. Find Clarity on Purpose & Direction
  2. Hack Life to Boost Productivity
  3. Learn to Relax and Manage Stress

Day two of the series provides an immersive experience to help students:

  1. Find Power in Self-Identity & Honest Communication
  2. Build Self-Sustainability through Money Management
  3. Enhance Self-Responsibility to Overcome Obstacles

On both days we focus on

  1. Fueling Their Body through Healthy Nutrition/Cooking
  2. Finding the Power in Play and Functional Movement

The core concepts presented in this camp draw from cutting edge science, ancient practices and creative strategies to maintain health and well-being throughout college and life thereafter. Regardless of lifestyle, commitments or budget, Embark prepares students for a successful transition out of high school and into life. 

This program is feedback & user driven, ensuring content remains relevant and unique to the participants. Students will learn content and concepts at home and focus on implementing and practicing the content in-person.

On completing this course, students will know some basic principles that lead to optimal health, performance and success in all areas of life.

To get the most out of life, to feel fulfilled, accomplished and happy, we must pursue those things in life that mean the most to us. Why are you going to college? Why are you taking that job? Why are you going to the gym? Why are you attending this workshop?

When we can take a moment to reflect on our own internal desires and their outcomes we gain the clarity we need to make empowered decisions. Suddenly concepts like, “I work to pay my bills,” become “I’m working to gain the skills I need to accomplish _________ while building financial stability that allows me pursue the things I enjoy.”

Simon Sinek is a visionary and leadership guru who wrote the book, “Start with Why.” Watch this quick video as he highlights this concept and then take a minute to reflect specifically on why you are taking this workshop. We’ve all heard of goals. You know, those desired results we hope to accomplish or reach in the future? The benefit of setting goals is to have a clear target or path that you can not only work towards but that can ensure you are progressing through life.

The issue is that not all goals are created equal. We often fail to reach goals that are ambiguous which can leave us feeling down on ourselves. SMART goals provide a framework which allows you to set goals which you’re more likely to accomplish and will help you keep yourself accountable.
